We are now based upon Laurelin [RP] -the role-playing server, we provide a strong group of friends to those of you who want to enjoy the roleplay element of Lord of the Rings.

Well I am back from my holidays to return to the fantastic "real" life that is middle-earth! It is good to be back amoung my kinsmen.

As you all know, the cambridge real life meeting is nearly upon us! the 10th/11th is getting ever closer and I for one am excited about the meeting. The t-shirt shop is now up and running with fantastic designs for you to purchase ready for the event. A big thank you to Felewyn who submitted her design and for her help in organising things! pics below of what they look like (if it works)

Our next big event is just around the corner, a few loose ends are being tied and the script and story almost finished so keep an eye out on the forum for when the story shall carry on futher!

As we break into July, more and more recruits have been formally accepted as full members of Stout n Sturdy and shall no longer be getting watered down ale <grins> We hope they continue to be a big part of the kinship and join in with the huge home that we now have. Speaking of homes, we are all waiting with baited breath for the home patch to come!

Chapter 3 on the Stout n Sturdy history is now up on the forums ready for people to have a read to see where our story is taking us, the next chapter will involve the Kin and your actions and decisions will affect the way we turn and how chapter 4 is written. This involves a lot of planning and is why it is taking a while.

The real life meeting is getting ever closer, with the t-shirt competition coming closer to an end as we need a design which we can get to work on. Things for us to do in Cambridge will be discussed shortly, all in all we are all looking forward to the meeting with at least 25 people signed up and ready to go.

The summer is upon us in middle earth, with the cheer in the air and the ale in the tankard, joy is being spread in such dark times. Many seasonal games and activities are in game for you to enjoy. The most recommended is the tavern crawl and all being members of a tavern I think it be a must you do this one <smiles>

In other news, Stout n Sturdy will be having a real life meeting, along with some friends from Room For Improvement (RFI) in Cambridge on the 11th of August (or 10th for some of the early birds) much drink shall be consumed and fun will most definatly be had!

In theme with the real life meeting, we have a T-shirt design competition on at the moment and the winning design will be mass printed for the Kinship to wear at the meeting and the winner will win one for free plus have their design as the official SnS T-shirt! (cant get better than that) So start getting your entries in soon as we shall need to get them into print next month!

The Stout n Study story shall be continuing very shortly and Madlric shall be up and about ready to lead us to where he was ambushed by the brigands. Also we have seen a steady increase in members joining our cause and the promotions should be happening very soon to those waiting longer than two weeks. Sorry for the delay

Well we are about two months into the game now, with the first Expansion just around the corner, the game for me so far has been fantastic and its this Kinship that has helped with the experience, so far the Kin has experienced the start of our epic journey, a couple of monsterplay events, some tavern crawls, music nights and story telling evenings. This is only the start of things to come for Stout n Sturdy.

Thanks to everyone who has shared resources, made background stories on the forum and put their mark on the Kin, we now have an events team currently working on their first official event and the second installment of our epic history around the corner.

Wednesday night saw our first major event and the beginning of our on going story (Chapter 1) that will run throughout the course of the game and Frodo's journey (no we not effecting them) We had a great turnout and I don't know how many was there in the end but if someone wants to count in the screenshots they are welcome <winks> Thanks to all who shared their history at the party tree that night, I had a great time and we were there for over a full in game day and night cycle.

The trial has ended for lots of our members who joined during early access, check the boards for the notice of the promotion list as it is quite big.

The script from the night will be up on the boards shortly so keep an eye out for those who missed it, the next event shall be soon and we are looking forward to it!

Sorry this is a little late news in coming, as soon as my laptop was fixed the servers came up. Anyway, as of Friday the 13th of April 2007 at 16:00 BST Stout n Sturdy was formed. Thanks to all of those who joined us in beta and carried their support through to retail launch.

Since just before end of beta we have been steadily growing, with member count reaching to over 80 on our forums and the short three days we have been in the live server we have got 40 of those members into the Kinship. so far only good things have been said about our kinship and our way, so thanks to you all for acting like true Stoutlings and I look forward to our future together!

Talking of future a quick update of where we are and where we plan to be going <grins> Now that the mad rush of folk getting over excited is over we will be planning our first "main" event, this will begin the epic journey of Stout n Sturdy and all its members, the journey will continue with secrets to unlock as we go on in time. Other things we are looking into is Monster Play events with some Role-playing battles and our next thing on the agenda will be setting up the Events team.

Satine has put our minds at rest at last! Stout n Sturdy now has a new home when beta comes to a close, we shall be on Laurelin [RP] - Role-playing Server. So when you start early access make sure you pick this server as there are three role-playing servers!

Also please be sure to check the forums as some more important posts are there for your input!

As another week starts to come to the end, we are once again a step closer to the end of the Beta, first I would like to point out I have just made a new recruitment post, this is for making up an "Events Team" that will help me organise and run events. When the servers come down on the 8th that does not mean the Kinship comes to a stand still, I would like all members to go to the boards and get chatting, we have some things to organise to be prepared for retail!

The announcement has been made that the end of the beta is on the 8th of April, this means we have about 17 more days left until we are all deleted! so enjoy the last couple of weeks, we shall try to get another event in before we go live. As of yet the official servers are not listed yet and as I said before I will let you all know as soon as I know which server we shall be on.

In the meentime keep posting on our forums and join in the discussion while we get set for the live release, we will be making the Kinship in the 10 day early access. Also recruiting is still going strong so keep an eye out for anymore fun going roleplayers and get them signed up. On that note welcome to Lerin and Isenlas.

As time gets closer to the release we have a few more members joining our ranks, so please all welcome Braho, Lerin, Puki and Wery. I am sure they will be happy in our Tavern. If you head over to our forums people have been putting up a few pictures of their adventures so be sure not to miss those, I shall be adding them to the gallery later.

Well last nights meeting and event was great, thanks to all those who turned up, the Tavern crawl, allthough we did not get to, too many Taverns was still great fun. I shall search through the Images and upload the ones onto both the site gallery and some on the forums. The fireworks display was great! If you have pictures continue to put them on the Forum I shall edit them and put them on the gallery too.

I shall also put a brief summary of the meeting in the members forum for those who couldn't make it, make sure you log in to be able to read all the boards.

As I have said, I have been working on a more tavern warmly feeling website, I have now finaly finished it, I hope that you all enjoy the site.
